I added the oem-audio-hda-daily-lts-xenial-dkms driver using Synapic and
enabled it with the system settings.
That helped a little
Using also the PulseAudio Volume Control I added latency to 32.00 and
that helped too.
The sound still distorts when volume increase. A low volume behaves
well.
Hi Joseph,
I appreciate your help with this issue.
I got the laptop late on 2015 new and installed 16.04 removing the
original OS (Win10).
The issue has been there since the very first start on Ubuntu 16.04 but
Windows 10 never had issues.
As for the upstream kernel, I see several Kernels
I took a look at the syslog and I see this error with suspend:

/lib/systemd/system-sleep/wpasupplicant failed with error code 255.
Is it related to the issue?
Thanks.

Hello
Is this problem present
Downloaded the drivers from Realtek and installed the driver. Wireless
was able to work if I manually stopped then started up the wireless
connection. Then today I got the new update from Ubuntu, which contain
an update for acpi and now is working fine.

Wireless never connects
Looks familiar, except this is the first install on this laptop so it has never
worked before. Mine is a Toshiba L505-ES5018 and I am using a Linksys E-1000
router. I have other computers running Mac OS-X, Win 7 and an old Compaq M-2000
on Ubuntu Karmic Koala. All work fine with the router.
Public bug reported:

2) Package and version suspected: wpasupplicant 0.6.9-3ubuntu3
3) Expected to happen: wireless connection enabled

connects, requests key again,
