Same on Assus K555L with KDE, the problem stooped or at least occurs rarely when ever you stop the turn of touch pad functionality on key enter form synaptic touch pad set up in System Settings->Input Device->Touchpad->l. Enable/Disable touch. pad. And remove Disable touch pad when typing . Ops sorry, so what was the situation. First , there is a network card with some fake ip taken from dhcp like 192.168.1.101 with fw 192.168.1.1 my internet provider has network problem and dns servers do not work, and there were not connection at all from after local ISP gw. What i remember is that message was which says something like i making updates trying to connect to some servers. When i put connection from other ISP on which internet work there was no such problem. So I thing that probably installation try to connect to update server when it see a connection to internet trough local network. If that not help. I' ll try to make installation again. But to be more precise tell me what should i do go to console ? and see the log on screen or something more. And there were some other weird stuff on instalation. I have 2 disk hda. hdb on hda there was a ubunto edgy instalation on hdb there is windows xp, when i say make automatic on disk hda in the preview it prints that it is going to format hdb. One more thing the instalation is made in Bulgarian.
