Just wanted to confirm that comment #24 worked for me on Natty final, after an alternate install in which I selected LVM with encryption for / . Seems to me that grub goes looking for the fonts at boot but the volume they are on is still encrypted at that time and therefore unaccessible. I commented out the /smb -- /etc/auto.smb line in my /etc/auto.master and rebooted twice. On the second (and now third) reboots, no disk check. @ Theodore Ts'o: No, it was not my intention to format the /boot partition as ext2. I used the automated option to use the entire disk and encrypt it using the alternate CD. I don't recall being prompted to choose file systems or do the partition layout. [Bug 603970] [NEW] Workspace Switcher hover help/tool tip doesn't go away
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-applets In a fully updated (as of 07/10/10) Lucid Lynx, occasionally the Workspace Switcher tool tip help will come up and stay up until I hover the mouse over the Workspace Switcher again. This seems to happen when I inadvertently slide over the WS when moving the mouse somewhere else on the screen. This behavior is not repeatable simply by hovering over the WS and waiting for the tool tip to come up.
