[Bug 1595692] Re: ceres/internal/config.h not found when including ceres.h

2016-09-06 Thread Francesco Pasa
In case someone needs it, I managed to compile copying the config.h
downloaded from the git repository in /usr/include/ceres/internal/.

To compile the following simple file:

#include

int main () {
return 0;
}

I used (having installed libeigen3-dev):

g++ fit.cpp -lceres -std=c++11 -I/usr/include/eigen3/

[Bug 1436940] Re: Qualcomm Atheros QCA6164 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter [168c:0041] is not supported

2016-04-26 Thread Francesco Pasa
I just updated to xubuntu 16.04 and it did not work out of the box.
However the folder QCA6164 in /lib/firmware/ath10k is already there and
I got it to work by simple renaming the folders:

sudo mv /lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6174/ /lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6174_moved/
sudo mv /lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6164/ /lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6174/

However I am still unable to set up an ad-hoc network to share the
ethernet connection with my phone.

[Bug 1436940] Re: Atheros wifi 168c:0041(QCA6174) is not supported

2015-10-30 Thread Francesco Pasa
I have a levovo u31-70 with the same problem. I have tried to follow the
steps in the posts #75 #81 #85 and #90 but it didn't work.

I can now see the wireless in the menu, I managed to connect the first
time for 5 seconds and then the wireless stopped showing the available
connections. Rebooting did not help.

I have Xubuntu 15.10 with kernel 4.2.0, and I think that this is the
problem, right? If I understood correctly the dkms works with kernel
4.1... Can someone please help me?

I runned again

echo "options ath10k_core skip_otp=y" | sudo tee
/etc/modprobe.d/ath10k_core.conf

and rebooted and now it works. I'm not sure why... I get between 0 and
57% packet loss with ping.

[Bug 773014] [NEW] Natty: GUI occasionally does not register mouse / touchpad clicks

2011-04-29 Thread Pasa Yildirim
Public bug reported:

System: Natty 11.04
Configuration: HP 8710p notebook, NVIDIA Quadro NVS 320M with NVIDIA binary
driver
Environment: Ubuntu Classic (same applies even on Unity) +Compiz
Affected: All sorts of GUI applications (Swing, GTK, QT)

Mouse clicking frequently stops working for few seconds. This applies
for both wireless mouse / touchpad. No such problems in other OS-es (so
it is not a mouse problem). During this mouse freeze I can navigate
GUI controls via keyboard.

** Affects: ubuntu
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 240843] [NEW] Gnome cannot mount USB drives

2008-06-18 Thread Pasa Yildirim
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-mount

OK, sometimes, when I try to mount any of my USB sticks, I get the following
error:
  Invalid mount option when attempting to mount drive.

Same message appears when I try the following commands:
  $ gnome-mount -d /dev/sdb1
  $ sudo gnome-mount -d /dev/sdb1

I can mount USB with following command:
  $ sudo mount /dev/sdb1 /media/usb

I can see my drive in teh output of sudo fdisk -l, as following:
