[Bug 1811084] [NEW] Screen flickers after opening lid...
Public bug reported: After setting HandleLidSwitch=ignore (and also HandleLidSwitchDocked=ignore) in /etc/systemd/logind.conf, the screen flickers, a lot, each time the lid is opened. More pronounced when the mouse cursor is moved. Occasionally, after a while (sometimes many minutes), the flickering stops. However, closing and re-opening the lid causes the flickering to start again. Often, it just keeps flickering ad infinitum. Everything seems to work OK, and is not evident on the remote unit when using remote-access to access the machine using VNC. This is also happening on my Acer Travelmate 5730. I can send another bug report for that one if required. Thanks... We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-intel REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful.
