[Bug 1886067] [NEW] dAfter updating ubuntu OS on my laptop color lines are coming

2020-07-02 Thread RAJA
Public bug reported:

I would be glad to know if updating the Ubuntu to 18.04.04 LTS creates any
problem with the graphics card. I am getting some color lines on the left top
corner of my laptop display. It has intel graphics.
Thanks in advance

Best
Raja

[Bug 1582585] Re: the speed of query user from ldap server is very slow

2018-01-24 Thread raja
and for the mitaka-proposed, looks like the same.

the keystone version is:

but listing users still doesn't take much time, about 10 seconds:

```
root@ubuntu:~# time openstack user list --domain default
so seems that I can't reproduce this problem, do you have any suggestions?
Subject: [Bug 1220426] Re: [nvidia-prime]Freeze while using touchpad
Hello Raja,
needed sleep. Okay I did:
New install of Ubuntu 14.04
package updates + additional software (Nvidia 331.38 fom nvidia(Proprietary,
tested)
reboot
now whenever I leave the touchpad enabled (FN+F12 on Mx17) and use it, i
get random freezes whenever i actually move using the touchpad. (not
sure if  100%related but seems to be)
disabled touchpad and no locks, reenabled and inside of 2 minutes it
locked.
If you are trying to make this happen and you don't lock inside of 5
minutes with the t-pad, you dont have the issue I have..
I also went into BIOS and enabled the Intel only graphics, problem also
gone. But kinda depressing for Left4Dead ;)
[Bug 837275] Re: Error: viewer connection to hypervisor host got refused or disconnected!
2012-10-23 Thread Raja Abdul Saboor
** Description changed:
  Test Case:
  1- Prepare remote libvirt server with a VM that has VNC configured to listen
on all interfaces (0.0.0.0)
  2- Using a Precise machine, attempt to connect using virt-manager, and open
the VM's display
  3- This should not result in an error message saying that 0.0.0.0 cannot be
reached
-
  Everything was working fine until today, no display devices (VNC, SPICE, SDL)
work. Previously, VNC (the default) worked fine (30 hours ago).
Re: [Bug 874723] Re: Ubuntu 11.10 startup and shutdown times
2011-10-15 Thread Raja
I am on Compaq C770 TU,
everything was working just as fine, but with the upgrades its seems a
bit twizzy,
I made the same startup applications with both 11.04 and 11.10,
i am unable to change services in 11.10, many easy user functions seems
missing.
I'd also seen the 11.10 boot/shutdown times increase considerably.(I've
picked upstart as the package - not sure which package is really at
fault here but upstart has a lot to do with startup so it's as good ab
[Bug 482757] Re: Grub loading. The symbol ' ' not found. Aborted. Press any key...
2009-12-06 Thread Raja
More detail on the help above:
1.  Boot with LiveCD
2.  Open terminal
3.  sudo fdisk -l (boot partition may be the one with the asterisk)
4.  sudo mkdir /media/root
5.  sudo mount /dev/sdaX /media/root, where X is your mount partition (often
the one with an asterisk in step 3 above).  Otherwise, try all the others.
6.  mount /dev/sdaX /media/root/boot
7.  Check boot by running ls /media/root/boot.  If the mount is correct, you
will see files like vmlinuz and memtest
8.  sudo grub-install --root-directory=/media/root /dev/sda --recheck
If all is good, you should get:
Installation finished. No error reported.
This is the contents of the device map /boot/grub/device.map.
Check if this is correct or not. If any of the lines is incorrect,
fix it and re-run the script `grub-install'.
else seeing this ? and anything else I can do?
That works great for me.
The InputDevice section was already there with the entry for the keyboard. But
I had to add the line to the ServerLayout section. Once I restarted X, I
could log in without following the swipe with a carriage return.
