I did actually use "entire disk" method, but unfortunately that is not
really what I wanted.
However, you have pointed this rather amateurish but long standing user

I wonder if that is why my little used version of Win 10 (unfortunately

I think I figured out why grub would not install on 64GBSDD on port 0 as
reported earlier. I had set the first part of the SDD disk as a swap area and
this may have removed any space for the grub install. After leaving 1MB
space, the grub installed correctly.

Not at all sure ofproblem, but Zone Minder seems to appear on the
problems reported.
Also after any upgrade, there is a screen which says (not here to hand)
that one programme - not specified - has failed to install.
