I've downloaded ubuntu server 8.10 amd64 CD. Checksums are OK.
I've chosen Polish language and tried to install ubuntu in following
way:
1. Static network configuration (with gateway outside my class).
2. HDD partitioned using wizard, BUT when it suggests partitioning
I had not encountered this problems in last month or two.

only known filesystems and maybe a bunch of data from each partition
