Since I have the same problem, what can I do to resolve the issue?

Hi Matthew. I tried most of the work rounds with no success. So what I
did was get this.

The Patriot Wireless N USB Adapter, 300Mbps (PCBOWAU2-N).
Here is the website
http://www.patriotmemory.com/product/detail.jsp?prodline=6catid=97prodgroupid=163id=973type=24

It works flawlessly, absolutely perfect. I have been running this since
the 3/09/13.

Cheers Sean

[Bug 1218110] [NEW] bcmwl-kernel-source 6.20.155.1+bdcom-0ubuntu0.0.1: bcmwl kernel module failed to build

2013-08-28 Thread salbemer...@gmail.com
Public bug reported:

I setup Ubuntu 12.04 a few days ago on my Acer Aspire 5103 WLMI, AMD Turion
64x2, 120G HD, upgraded to 4G Ram and running along side Windows 7. Network
controller is working fine with perfect WiFi on the Windows 7 partition. But I
have tryed everything to get the WiFi to work on Ubuntu with no luck so far.
Below is the Network controller details.

Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g]
802.11g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 02)
