Yes, quite brilliant, wait for several years until everything becomes obsolete so that you dont have to resolve any bug. I hate the way Ubuntu has become, and I will certainly not contribute anymore. This has happened to all the bugs I have submited. [Bug 873747] [NEW] Two displays, proper resolution cannot be set!
Public bug reported: Freshly installed 11.10 x86, ATI, installed proprietary drivers. Two displays, one laptop with 1600x900 resolution, other viewsonic external monitor with 1366x768. What I wanted it to extend, so that my viewsonic is to the right. 1. I went to system/Display 2. Unchecked mirror 3. Set proper resolutions 4. Clicked on apply and than I got a popup message that something is wrong, and this could not be done because max is 1600x1600. Immediately it checks mirror, and sets my resolution to 1280x768 for both displays. 5. Ok, trying to find workarround. I unchecked mirror, set up resolution for both displays to 800x600 (since it told me max was 1600). 6. It works. I set up then resolutions to both displays to their max, and I got what can be seen on screenshot. This did work in previous version, 11.04. Any workarround would be appreciated before bug fix is released. Thanks. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: software-center This is the example I found that reflects the problem: Guake Terminal has 10 ratings, 9 of them are with 5 stars, and one of them is with 4 stars, an average of 4.9, but instead showing 5 stars as an average score, it shows 4 and a half. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager Ubuntu 11.04, fully updated Atheros Ethernet card and Broadcom BCM 4313 wireless card, on Dell Inspiron N7010 Freshly installed system The problem is that both wireless and wired connection do not work. This is unless either one of two things is done: 1. UTP cable was plugged in before system starts 2. Uncheck enable wireless before restart and then enabling it when everything has loaded again If I plug in UTP cable after system has been fully loaded, nothing will happen and I will not have internet connection, not even wired one. [Bug 587920] [NEW] Weekly Update removed my proprietary nVidia drivers

It still does not work, even with that new file. I followed steps on that wiki page, and here is the error_log. Following the steps in wiki, I noticed that there was no file cupsys. [Bug 375763] [NEW] printer wont print although ubuntu says that job is compleated, also driver wont update
Public bug reported: Hi, I have canon LBP3000 laser printer. I have downloaded both versions of driver from canon, version 1.6 and 1.8, and followed step by step instructions. I also checked all over the net for the solution, but found none. My printer is identified, and status is fine, just it wont print. This is in detail what happens, and the steps I followed. First I made sure that I have removed printer's spooler: /usr/sbin/lpadmin -x LBP5000 Then, I installed these provided packages: # dpkg -i cndrvcups-common_1.80-1_i386.deb # dpkg -i cndrvcups-capt_1.80-1_i386.deb I checked for driver version by: # dpkg -l | grep cndrvcups and it was fine, 1.80 Then I restarted cups and registered: /usr/sbin/lpadmin -p LBP3000 -m CNCUPSLBP3000CAPTK.ppd -v ccp:/var/ccpd/fifo0 -E /usr/sbin/ccpdadmin -p LBP3000 -o /dev/usb/lp0 And started daemon: # /etc/init.d/ccpd start In system/preferences/default printer my printer is set as default In system/administration/printing there is LBP3000 with green check I click on properties and I noticed that for driver it says 1.5 version. That was odd, but I tried nonetheless. I did print page, it said completed, but no printing occurred. I then tried to changeMake and Model by clicking on the button to the right and chosing the right ppt file, since from select from database was only that 1.5 version driver that probably came with Ubuntu. I am using 9.04, so its a bit odd that it has driver so old. In previous steps you noticed that in fifo0 I registered my ppt, and fifo0 is chosen, but still that 1.5 version, and printer wont print anything although status says everything is fine and printing jobs compleated. It took me hours and hours working on this, but still no solution.
