With latest updates and so forth, switching user is not an issue, suspend/sleep (low power mode with RAM still powered) has no problems. I believe that hibernate is ok for me. I will, when next the laptop is free (the lady is powering through course work), try to work out exactly how to course

I first started getting this bug when I upgraded to 9.10 but there must have been an update somewhere along the lines that has sorted this out, at least for me. Either that, or I simply have managed to dodge this bug for a long time. -- [Dell Inc. Inspiron 1501] suspend/resume failure
