The system installed is hardy 8.04 ,
recently I went for updates and installed most of them but after updates the
main menu applet in gnome-panel is having some problems
1 : drop down menu is not showing icons besides its names
2 : the applet quit not working :-- whenever I click on System-quit
or on the applet quit.. it restarts Xserver and brings me to login screen ,
instead of giving me the pop-up menu of showing options of log-off , restart ,
shutdown.
does anyone knows the answer to these two problems especially the second
one?
