I have had the same problem as you, I tried everything! But I figured it out! I went into the transmission preferences found in the edit menu, I went to desktop then checked inhibit hibernation when torrents are active. I closed the lid, waited 5 minutes and opened the lid, Still downloading and wifi connected!
