[Bug 1879026] [NEW] Error in driver noveau and NVidia: unable to load them.

2020-05-15 Thread tofono via ubuntu-bugs
Public bug reported:

Hi, I have installed the final version of ubuntu 20.04 LTS and ubuntu mate
20.04 LTS.
Unfortunately, if I try to load the result of the driver, in both versions it
is the complete block of the system. I also added "nomodeset" to the
configuration file at startup to restore the system but without getting
results: the system goes to lockout.
Identically if I switch the disk from one PC to another with the NVidia driver
compatible with both video cards the system is unable to boot. I did numerous
tests with 2 PCs and a notebook equipped with Nvidia sk video. Sk video: 730GT,
1060, 740m (notebook with intel sk video integrated in the processor). With
version 16.04 LTS the problem does not arise. Kindly resolve the problem.
See you.

[Bug 1866745] Re: Extreme slow Ubuntu startup

2020-03-12 Thread tofono via ubuntu-bugs
For me it depends on the fact that you have introduced the md5sum verification
at startup which makes Ubuntu's actual startup very slow. Which I also found in
a previous release of the beta version of focal. In the previous case studies
the control was now displayed instead there is the start screen that masks this
tedious control.
What is the purpose of an MD5sum check at every boot?

[Bug 1865161] [NEW] Written "press return to shutdown the computer" does not appear.

2020-02-28 Thread tofono via ubuntu-bugs
Public bug reported:

Written "press return to shutdown the computer" does not appear.
When exiting the Ubuntu LIVE focal fossa, the message "press return to shutdown
the computer" does not appear on the computer. This occurs from the version of
02.27.2020 iso. The computer stays on with the black screen. Sometimes pressing
the button, in any case it turns off but without writing the user is forced to
turn off the power.
Wouldn't it be the case, without further user intervention, that once the
command is sent, the operating system turns off the computer directly?
Please check and resolve, thank you.

[Bug 1864162] Re: Don't install snap programs.

2020-02-22 Thread tofono via ubuntu-bugs
The problem occurs as soon as the computer is started then with the
basic software that uses focal fossa. I believe it can be easily
replicated without adding further information. With the ISO of
24-01-2020 there are no particular problems. I found the problem with
the versions from 16 / 20-02-2020 (approximately) and I also tried the
one of 21-02-2020 which finds the same defect.

2020-02-22 Thread tofono via ubuntu-bugs
Thank you, sorry but I will not give launchpad access to my private data. I
often use the live version of ubuntu focal fossa. I update it often. I also
have a pendrive the version of 24-01-2020 in case of problems to compare the
difference between the execution of the most recent version and that of
24-01-2020.
See you.
