[Bug 632077] Re: dpkg froze with InfiniteLoop in unpack()

2010-09-23 Thread trojanfoe
I was getting this on my amd64 server until recently - however I always
use 'apt-get update; apt-get -y dist-upgrade'.

I have been putting off doing any upgrades to avoid any more lock-ups,
but have just successfully performed one, so it might have cleared?

[Bug 217699] Re: Incorrect rule for ntpdate in ignore.d.server

2008-12-13 Thread trojanfoe
8.10: No it's not reproducable as I see no 'step time server' or 'adjust time
server' when grepping the logs.
9.04: No idea.

[Bug 195673] Re: kernel-package build incomplete header package for 2.6.24

2008-05-09 Thread trojanfoe
Same problem with 2.6.25 under hardy.

Is there an alternative to using kernel-package 11.001 so that I can
successfully build a linux-headers package. I am able to build the
nvidia kernel module, but cannot but the lirc modules?

[Bug 217699] Re: Incorrect rule for ntpdate in ignore.d.server

2008-04-16 Thread trojanfoe
Correction; the phrase should not be replaced as both terms are issued
by ntpdate. There should be 2 rules, the difference between them being
only the words 'step' and 'adjust'.

[Bug 217699] [NEW] Incorrect rule for ntpdate in ignore.d.server

2008-04-15 Thread trojanfoe
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu release: 7.10
logcheck-database version: 1.2.61ubuntu0.1

Problem:
The logcheck file /etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/ntpdate contains the wrong rule
to exclude benign ntpdate time updates.

The phrase 'step time server' should be changed to 'adjust time server'
within the rule file.
