Hello,
googling around I came to this thread and I have a similar issue. We use an
all-in-one HP3030 over the local WLAN. The HP is connected to a Fritz-box via
USB. Quite often my wife can not print and when I check, the printer is not
activated. So I activate the printer using the root password and all is fine
until next time. Somehow the printer gets deactivated from time to time. To
tell the whole story: every night from 1-5 the WLAN and the printer are
switched off automatically. The PC is sometimes running when the printer is
switched off, but usually the printer is under power, when the PC gets active
from boot or hibernate. I would be really happy for any hints and I am ready to
help to localize this bug. It was present under 11.04 and is under 11.10.
