[Bug 1374868] [NEW] Nvidia driver freezes 340.32 with touchpad freezes system

2014-09-27 Thread uzi3k
Public bug reported:

When using the touchpad on my pcspecialist optimus V laptop ubuntu
freezes completely and the only way to solve it is to restart. The issue
does not occur when using a USB mouse, or when the prime profile is set
to Intel chip. This occurs with nvidia GTX860m, using the nvidia 340.32
driver from the xorg edgers PPA. The time period this takes to occur
varies each time and does not seem to be program specific.

[Bug 975108] Re: Mixed page orientaton slow down

2012-04-24 Thread uzi3k
Hi, sorry for the delay.

CPU Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHz/2400.000 MHz/2048 KB and 2GB
memory.

I went into the LO options and found the memory tab and increased them
all significantly from default. This did seem to solve the problem, but
compared with my netbook which was running 10.10 with the same memory
defaults as 12.04 it seems strange that it was struggling.

Hope this helps and thanks for looking into it.

[Bug 975108] [NEW] Mixed page orientaton slow down

2012-04-06 Thread uzi3k
Public bug reported:

I am working on a word document which has mixed page orientation and
when I scroll down to the landscape page (most of it is in portrait),
the scrolling becomes laggy and inputs from the keyboard are delayed by
seconds and it becomes almost unusable. When I get to the portrait part
of the document it is fine again. The same document worked fine on 10.10
on my netbook, using LO installed from a PPA.

[Bug 930978] Re: Super+W shortcut inconsistent

2012-04-05 Thread uzi3k
I have launcher in auto-hide mode. If I press super + w, then decide not
to do anything and press it again to go back to the same application I
was in, the launcher is revealed and the application numbers on the
launcher come up and stay there. The launcher remains revealed
overlaying a full screen app. The launcher stays till I use super + w
and use escape to release to go back to the same application.

This occurs whether I hold the super key or press and release and then
use again.

I don't get the problem with the dash though.

[Bug 972410] Re: Launcher does not consistently appear when mouse is moved into hotspot.

2012-04-05 Thread uzi3k
I have the same problem when I use the top left hotspot or the entire
left edge. I have to make sure I move the cursor over with sufficient
velocity from the right to get it to reveal. This might be useful if it
appeared too easily. At high sensitivity it is not too bad, at low
sensitivity I could hardly get the launcher to reveal at all.

[Bug 972323] [NEW] Minimise/maximise window key shortcut problem

2012-04-03 Thread uzi3k
Public bug reported:

When I use the windows key plus cursor up/down to maximise and minimise
a window, the keyboard shortcut display always comes up and then the
only way to get get back to it is to tap the windows key to open the
dash, and then tap again to close the dash to return to the original
window I was trying to maximise or minimise.

Just to clarify, the maximise or minimise does work it's just obscured
by the keyboard shortcut display.
