Thanks for you answer. I removed /etc/passwd.lock, /etc/shadow.lock files and
re-configured the ntp package.
The workaround works fine. It seems that the problem is similar as you observed
in the another package.

I opened dialog Time and Date Settings and switched Configuration from
Manual to Keep synchronized
The system automatically installed the ntp package, this installation failed.
