I'm glad to report that the patch is working on Trusty Tahr, updated yesterday, installed on my Asus VivoPC and the module can detect and connect properly to both my WiFi-g and -n connections protected with WPA. The kernel doesn't show any stability issue and works flawlessly browsing internet and watching videos in streaming (I didn't try to stress the connection). [Bug 568611] Re: Screen brightness control fails on Dell Studio 1558
I want to report my success in finally enabling the brightness control of my LCD screen on HP Pavilion dv6-6192sl. I make use of Debian/Sid and a custom 3.1.4 kernel. It didn't worked before until I modified grub and passed the acpi_backlight=vendor option to the kernel at boot as told in other posts. [CLOSE] Hi everybody, this bug is probably related to hardware, in fact Windows Vista was having problems too (unable to write on its own partition). We have sent back this brand new laptop to the producer and we have got our money back.
