[Bug 1311316] Re: After locking screen there is no input field to type password for unlock

2014-12-03 Thread vmajor
It most definitively is not fixed. I have the latest Unity 7.2.3 and
this bug still exists. Furthermore I am also unable to open another
terminal. The only way that I can get back into my computer is to SSH to
it and run sudo unity --replace

Please reopen this bug report and please find an actual fix.

This never happened with 12.04 LTS

[Bug 821233] Re: indicator-weather crashed with AttributeError in export_location_details(): Location instance has no attribute 'location_code'

2014-01-02 Thread vmajor
Still broken on 12.04 LTS, 2 years on. This app should be removed from
the repository. It simply does not work in 12.04.3

[Bug 160311] Re: Resizing windows by grabbing window borders is difficult

2013-06-06 Thread vmajor
Still broken. Fresh install 12.04.2. Just looking at the logs using the
GUI log viewer is nearly impossible as I cannot resize the log viewer
window. This finally got me annoyed enough to add to this mega bug
report.

The border appears to be 1px wide. Please fix this. It is an LTS release
afterall right?

[Bug 802074] Re: Acer Aspire 5553 no display after resume

2011-10-24 Thread vmajor
Thank you for confirming this bug.

It is also present in Ubuntu 11.10 with the identical symptoms. The only
resolution is power cycle reboot, or boot into Win 7 in case I plan to
suspend the laptop.

[Bug 802074] [NEW] Acer Aspire 5553 no display after resume

2011-06-25 Thread vmajor
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 11.04. After closing the laptop lid and suspending, the laptop is
unable to fully wake when the lid is open, or in any other way. The
various status lights come on, the HDD spins up, but the display never
appears to wake. It is not possible to start a terminal session either.
The display appears completely non-functional and the only solution is
a forced reboot by holding the power switch down. This severely limits
the appeal of Ubuntu 11.04 on my laptop, and others that are affected by
this bug.
