I can confirm that bug.
Same version, same bug, same fix.
But there is one strange thing:
when using the original mpd.conf with
bind_to_address set to localhost,
even thought mpd does not install properly, it starts up well on system
startup. Only when restarting it by /etc/init.d/mpd restart

I am using Ubuntu 8.04.1
At first: This bug might be related to the following bugs:

- #[108441]
- I am using a Compaq Evo N620 laptop computer, with a Realtek Semiconductor
RTL8180L pcmcia wlan card.
- I do not use Network
I have the same problem (conky with wmii) and I fixed it by simply setting
own_window_transparent no in ~/.conkyrc.
The only problem is, that I'd like to have transparency for conky.

I had a similar problem:
my system: gutsy + gnome + compiz + radeon driver
running desktop-effects and enabling the effects remove all window
decorations.
I fixed it by installing compiz-gnome wich is a package for compiz
window decorators for gnome.
