[Bug 210472] Re: Timidity daemon doesn't play nice with pulse audio
Upgraded from 18.04 to 18.10 and lost sound. Sound setting showed Dummy Output. alsa force-reload would fix it until reboot. Removed timidity-daemon (apt-get purge) and the problem went away. Apparently pulseaudio and timidity got along in 18.04 and earlier versions, not exactly sure what changed, but I removed timidity after reading https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/timidity/+bug/1798466 I tried re-install timidity-daemon, but then the problem returned. It's removed for now. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/210472 Title: Timidity daemon doesn't play nice with pulse audio To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/timidity/+bug/210472/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1242112] Re: Shutdown/restart dialogue is not working if Cairo-Dock and its Launcher-API-Deamon are running or if another app is registered to LauncherEntry interface of Unity DBus
I ran into this same problem with 14.04 and 14.10. In 14.10, instead of the usual symptom of no shutdown/restart pop up, it restarts the session leaving me at the log in screen. I have to kill the cairo-dock-launcher- API-daemon process in order to get the shutdown/restart dialog. I made the same edits noted in post #17 with the sleep value of 15, rebooted and it seems to be working again. [Bug 1235785] Re: Light Display Manager is offered as login option
I had this issue when I upgraded from 13.04 to 13.10. After login, I noticed that the my shutdown option didn't do anything, although I would get a prompt upon pressing the power button. Anyway, I performed a clean install of 13.10 (home is on a seperate partition and was left intact) and the problem went way. My shutdown option in Unity was back again and all was good... Until today, the Light Display Manager login came back. I applied the work around of adding lightdm to the hidden user with no effect. I read Mateusz's post (#22) and can confirm that I am experiencing the same issue. That last thing I installed was openjdk-7-doc yesterday. [Bug 1132215] Re: rhythmbox crashes when syncing library to ipod
Forgot to mention, this is a fresh install with updates current to 22 Jun 2013. I am using an iPod Nano 5th 8Gb blue. The sync crash hosed my music on the iPod. I had to re-initialized the iPod (wipe it) just to get it working again. I still am not able to transfer music as Rhythmbox keeps crashing. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1132215 Title: rhythmbox crashes when syncing library to ipod To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/1132215/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
