[Bug 184652] grun segfaults with LC_MESSAGES=es_ES.utf8

2008-01-20 Thread zwa
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: grun

In Ubuntu 7.10 gutsy, having set LC_MESSAGES=es_ES.utf8 grun crashes with the
folowing message: Fallo de segmentación (core dumped)
but when I set LC_MESSAGES=en_GB.utf8 it runs fine. The problem is that if I
set other locale setting than an spanish one, some programs that I run from
grun appear with an english gui, like openoffice.
So if I set LC_MESSAGES=en_GB.utf8 and run openoffice from grun it will run
fine but everything will be in english, with LC_MESSAGES=es_ES.utf8 grun
crashes, and running openoffice from the console with LC_MESSAGES=es_ES.utf8 it
runs fine with an spanish gui, the behaviour that I want.

strace grun (with LC_MESSAGES=es_ES.utf8) :
