On i386 I have a similar problem; it isn't totally identical so I created an additional bug report (figured I would make a note here becuase it might be a duplicate). I am using nVidia proprietary drivers... that might be the problem, for all I know. koules -m fails with an error also. This happens to me as well on Fiesty amd64.
