You need to put them above line 52 - not just above the Ubuntu entry. Not below. I was aware of that and am fairly certain that I did so (I should have mentioned that in my report). I guess that it is possible that I put it above that # END DEFAULT OPTIONS line, thinking that it was the line about automatic kernels. Perhaps we should assume that is what I did and leave this as invalid.
