Hello Ryan, or anyone else affected,

Accepted curtin into xenial-proposed. The package will build now and be
available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/curtin/19.3-26
-g82f23e3d-0ubuntu1~16.04.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed
repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how
to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this
update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested and change the tag from
verification-needed-xenial to verification-done-xenial. If it does not
fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the
tag to verification-failed-xenial. In either case, without details of
your testing we will not be able to proceed.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance for helping!

N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s)
fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in
-proposed for a minimum of 7 days.

[Bug 1861452] Re: sru curtin 2020-01-30 - 19.3-17-g50ffca46-0ubuntu1

2020-02-14 Thread Ryan Harper
** Description changed:

  == Begin SRU Template ==
  [Impact]
This release sports both bug-fixes and new features and we would like to
make sure all of our supported customers have access to these improvements.
  The notable ones are:

- - multipath removal handling
- - centos8 support
- - curthooks update initramfs only once for faster deployment
- - block schema updates for raid, vtoc and ptable
- - vmtest arch support for ppc64le and aarch64
+   - multipath removal handling
+   - centos8 support
+   - curthooks update initramfs only once for faster deployment
+   - block schema updates for raid, vtoc and ptable
+   - vmtest arch support for ppc64le and aarch64

See the changelog entry below for a full list of changes and bugs.

  [Test Case]
The following development and SRU process was followed:
  https://wiki.ubuntu.com/CurtinUpdates

Curtin now contains an extensive integration test suite that is ran using
the SRU package for each releases. These suite has documentation here:
  https://curtin.readthedocs.io/en/latest/topics/integration-testing.html

In order to avoid regression to existing MAAS product, the MAAS team will
run their continuous integration test against the curtin that is in
-proposed. A successful run will be required before the proposed curtin
  can be let into -updates.

The curtin team will be in charge of attaching the artifacts and console
output of the appropriate run to the bug. Curtin team members will not
mark ‘verification-done’ until this has happened.

  [Regression Potential]
In order to mitigate the regression potential, the results of the
aforementioned integration tests are attached to this bug.
