I don't plan on doing SRUs for these myself, but opening the tasks in
case anyone else would like to. The issue doesn't seem that serious to
me, but the fix is pretty trivial and SRUs should be easy to push
through if you're so inclined.

Thank you for the patch. This is something that needs to be done in
Debian first, could you please forward the bug to Debian?

I agree. There is no sense in adding a launcher for this tool in the
menu without gksu in front.
