Hi, Jaunty has a -2 version from Debian now, reporting that it backports some fixes. Could you please check if your fix is included in that version, and if not prepare a new patch on top of that version. The url was not the right patch. [Bug 275989] Re: silc-client segfault when using /quit with password secured channels
I can confirm this behaviour in intrepid, it is sufficient to join a channel with a private channel key, setting the private channel key, and calling /quit. ** Changed in: silc-client (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed -- silc-client segfault when using /quit with password secured channels https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275989 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 275989] Re: silc-client segfault when using /quit with password secured channels
I checked this bug against Intrepid and it still exists. In order to reproduce: - start silc session - connect to a server - join a channel that has a /key channel CHANNELNAME password PASSWORD set and set it - probably join another channel - /quit silc-client will crash with a hint on silccipher.c:377 when having debug symbols installed. ** Summary changed: - silc-client segfault during normal usage + silc-client segfault when using /quit with password secured channels -- silc-client segfault when using /quit with password secured channels https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275989 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

One normal silc channel and one channel protected with a password (via /key channel add channelname - password). The client was running for days/weeks and suddenly crashed. - Then I restarted and short time later it crashed again. - - I cannot yet reproduce this bug manually.
