I'm having the same problem with a mighty mouse and a keyboard. The
mouse always prompts me for a passphrase (which I enter as ) and it
works from then on, unless I reboot. I then enter again. They

Sorry, should have added that it worked fine in 8.04 and seems to only
be a problem in Jaunty.

Ubuntu 9.04: Same thing happens here.
It worked in 8.10 (slow but got connection).
Now I am required to turn mouse off and on again.

Actually it doesn't work, I have to type :
$ /etc/init.d/bluetooth stop
$ /etc/init.d/bluetooth start
to make it work.

Problem seams to have been solved with one of the recent updates!
Bluetooth mouse is reconnecting nicely in all possible scenarios since a
few days...

I fixed reconnecting the mouse by douwngrading the packages to these
versions:
$ dpkg -l | grep -i blue
ii bluetooth 3.19-0ubuntu3

Same problem for me with Kensington Si670m BT mouse!
Info about the BT adapter from lsusb:
