I'm seeing the same problem with the Karmic x86_32 version. Can't seem to get through the conversion process without seeing Conversion failed Maybe you ran out of disk space? although I have many times (10x ?) the necessary disk space, plenty of available memory and robust CPU available. Have tried lengthening the chapters created during conversion and even eliminating them but still get this error.
