Yes, this is not a bug, but quite annoying. I just cannot get out of the habit of pressing power on my laptop and alt+s without having to manual close out all open programs... Programs requiring me to save data kindly give me this option and gracefully shutdown. Firefox should just close. This is *not* a feature. This is a bug in the problem reporting mechanism. A problem report should not be generated if Firefox is closed by the shutdown process. The session recovery built-in to Firefox however is a feature of Firefox 2. This feature comes with firefox nothing ubuntu did to firefox has changed anything. Im gonna change this to a wishlist. I will talk to Matt on monday to see if he wants to keep this feature implemented.
