Salva is right: bug #766145 (go to System Settings Login Screen
resets some settings) is not a duplicate of the current report (manually
apply Defaults doesn't revert to real default settings).

the same issue. Let me explain the issue that is affecting me in that
bug :
Whenever you try to leave the kdm settings in the systemsettings,
whether or
I am not so sure this is a problem with KDS but rather bogus upstream
code that does not take cascading into account. Needs investigation.
