I have set the launcher as auto-hide. When I install an app of the for
purchase section, the launcher will reveal after the payment process is
done and won't hide. I have to restart unity to make it hide again.

Hi everyone!
I have the same problem here (I experienced it everytime I installed a Humble
Indie Bundle V game via the Ubuntu Software Center). It's right that it happens
only after the paying process.
I noticed I can hide the launcher again by holding the super key down (but I
also noticed
I'm having exactly the same problem, I just installed something via the
Software Centre, now the launcher won't hide. It happens at other times
too, with no explanation or reason. It makes any work difficult because
it sits over the top of the windows that open using the entire desktop
space. I
Happens here as well... Annoying, because maximized windows then still
behave as if auto-hide works (i.e., they are covered by the no longer
auto hiding launcher).

I've had this issue as well. I think this is a unity error, and probably
specifically dealing with that slightly wonky icon animation when
installations occur.
For the record, I always have the software center maximized.

It seems that triggering the 'open file' dialogue for attaching the
above picture fixed the problem. Either that or it coincidentally fixed
itself.
