It's 2020 and I'm still trying to fix this. Upstream moved to GitHub so: - https://github.com/scop/bash-completion/pull/463 - https://github.com/scop/bash-completion/pull/465 fix mutt -f +foo and mutt -f =foo for me on Ubuntu 20.10. On Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, though, mutt -f =foo remains broken, and
