I would like to add that this bug occurs during each Ubuntu release cycle. This is the third time running for me (at least), starting with 11.10. Thankfully it has been fixed relatively quickly each release. Hopefully the same happens with 12.10. Thank you. -- You received this bug

For what it's worth, the laptop does go into suspend when using the menu in the cog-shaped applet in the top panel; however when the lid is opened the computer returns to an unlocked desktop rather than to a password prompt. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of
