I have encountered this problem twice in within the last 30 days. Once
was about less than an hour ago.
The first time I encountered it, I was going to submit a bug report
(when I found out where to submit it), but it took me so long (at least
an hour) to copy all the information off the screen
Pierre Rudloff, the next step is to perform a kernel bisect from the
Ubuntu release that this last worked in to Precise, in order to identify
the offending commit(s). Could you please do this following

Yes, this still is a problem.
It has been happening only since Precise and seems to happen only when the
computer is on battery.
