Same here, 5th freeze only this day. It was starting when I have changed my machine to a Lenovo T530, by swapping disk containing a Precise install. It is not just quite annoying, it makes work nearly impossible. I have switched from compiz to classic gnome with no effects, with no effect.

I am still affected by this bug. It seems random and intermittent and boy is it annoying. Everything freezes and I have to reboot. It does seem to be less frequent since I updated my motherboard BIOS though I don't have hard evidence that this made a difference. I'd say it happens once
