The following is all the information about my Lenovo G470 that I can hopefully get. I am a non-IT person, and I need some help with my built-in microphone which is not functioning. Frankly, I have searched and to no avail. I can see the VU band moving in my Pulse Audio Volume Control, when I tried to use the mic, but after recording, there is no sound reproduced; I have tried the inverted mic work about, to no avail. I have use VLC, Banshee and other players. My speakers should be okay because I can listen to online radio and I can hear my friend's Skype but cannot use my mic.
