KDat was removed in KDE 4.1 - therefore also removed from Kubuntu
Intrepid (due in October). I am marking this bug as invalid.

Still, thank you for helping us make Kubuntu a better product :-)

This is in Dapper, and I'm not clear whether there are more problems;
certainly one cannot 'format' a tape for use with KDat but fixing the
block size might fix that
