If the issue remains, could you please just make a comment to this. For GPU lockup bugs with Intel graphics, you need to collect the output of 'dmesg' and your /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/i915_error_state file. Both of these must be collected while the machine is locked up (e.g. by sshing into the sick machine over ethernet). Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.6 kernel[0] (Not a kernel in the daily directory) and install both the linux-image and linux-image-extra .deb packages. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs- upstream-testing' tag. Please only remove that one tag and leave the other tags. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Cannot ssh into hte machine over the ethernet, as the ethernet card is deducted to be the cause of the lockup. Cannot collect i915_error_state file, as cannot switch to tty nor ssh in. I believe I am a duplicate of: https://launchpad.net/bugs/993187/comment/493 as I have no hard lock up if I don't use the ethernet. What can I do to troubleshoot this further?
