The problem still persist for me unfortunately. I tried everything listed in the above posts, but the error message still persists. same problem! and now solved! 1) issue: installed ygraph, and it crashed upon opening a file. (ygraph 0.16~cvs20090218-1.2ubuntu1) 2) suggested fixes in this thread: i confirm that installing xfonts-75dpi and xfonts-100dpi DOES NOT resolve the problem. I am on raring and have the same error. Installing the font packages did not help.
