Can you see if instructions on this page can help you with Intel wifi (it is
written for thinkpads, but I think the wireless settings are generic)

I'm am also having problems with wireless in Feisty, though in Ubuntu,
not kubuntu. I did a clean Feisty install on my dell inspiron 6000, with
an intel wireless card and using ipw2200 driver. I can connect to my
WPA2 network fine, and can transfer files over the network and ping
external IPs.
How come this bug is not assigned to anyone yet? I am eagerly waiting
for someone to address this. Thank you.

I also wanted to mention that wireless works normally when I log into
WIndows XP. I will have to apologize for this but I have been trying to
attach the lspci-wnn.log file for more than 10 minutes now but it is
just not happening because of the complications in the connection so I
am just pasting
