Public bug reported: Week 50 - Ubuntu 12.04 Precise with ppa: unity-team/sru (Intel)
Issue: Dragging Nautilus icon from dash to launcher fails repeatedly and instead leaves a permanent gap on launcher. See screenshot - it shows the gap created due to the drag and drop attempt. Repeat attempts created more than 1 blank space on launcher. Note: - The above issue cannot be consistently repeated, advise would be to try the below steps after running test CAN 48 - UNITY_Test killing bamfdaemon does not duplicate icons in launcher. Steps: -Open dash - Drag and drop Nautilus icon to launcher - Observe ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: unity 5.18.0-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-34.53-generic-pae 3.2.33 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-34-generic-pae i686 ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu15 Architecture: i386 CompizPlugins: [core, composite, opengl, compiztoolbox, decor, vpswitch, snap, mousepoll, resize, place, move, wall, grid, regex, imgpng, session, gnomecompat, animation, fade, unitymtgrabhandles, workarounds, scale, expo, ezoom, unityshell] Date: Thu Dec 13 17:15:59 2012 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Release i386 (20120423) MarkForUpload: True ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_GB:en TERM=xterm PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: unity UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 precise running-unity third-party-packages-nicefi ** Attachment added: "BlankSpaceonLauncher.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1090032/+attachment/3459238/+files/BlankSpaceonLauncher.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1090032 Title: Week 50 - Drag and drop to launcher creates an empty space on launcher To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1090032/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
