Public bug reported: Hi,
not sure whether this bug really belongs to libsane. But it occurs in different applications like gscan2pdf, xsane, gimp plugin, therefore I guess that the bug lives somewhere in libsane / sane-backends The bug emerged with 12.10 (after upgrading from 12.04 LTS). When I try to select the scan resolution in one of the mentioned sane based GUIs, the dropdown menu for the scan resolution is empty and I can only scan with the default 75dpi resolution. (In my 12.04 LTS setup I can choose between different resolutions: 75dpi, 100dpi, 200dpi, ...). This is my scanner: $ sudo scanimage -L device `hpaio:/usb/Photosmart_C6300_series?serial=MY87U270TS0544' is a Hewlett-Packard Photosmart_C6300_series all-in-one $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 12.10 Release: 12.10 $ LC_ALL=C apt-cache policy libsane libsane: Installed: 1.0.23-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 1.0.23-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1.0.23-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status LC_ALL=C apt-cache policy gscan2pdf gscan2pdf: Installed: 1.0.4-5 Candidate: 1.0.4-5 Version table: *** 1.0.4-5 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal/universe i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Thanks, Thomas ** Affects: sane-backends (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1099111 Title: Not possible to choose scan resolution with HP Photosmart C6300 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sane-backends/+bug/1099111/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
