can't do much... we all need to wait for an xchat-gnome dev, or else hope the
next xchat-gnome version won't have this issue.
There are lots of bugs out there and it's not so easy to fix them quickly.
Usually
I am having the same problem as above. I used to use xchat under debian,
but switched to ubuntu with my new PC a few months ago. I've not been
able to use it to connect to the freenode #ubuntu channel since.
I run xchat-gnome from the command line, and it starts up ok, connects
to freenode, sends
wao 6 months and ubuntu has not fixed this bug!!! OMG

Lorenzo, I am also experiencing the same problem, and my .crash is very
similar to boricua's.
Pl let me know if my crash file would do any help, or if I could help in
