As said in the title, running sudo lightdm-session from a tty fails with:

libwayland0:amd64 (1.0.3-0ubuntu2, 1.0.5+git~20130130-1ubuntu1)
Ubuntu doesn't have that git version, you probably git from a ppa ...

So the way I fixed my installation was to downgrade libwayland0 to
1.0.3-0ubuntu2, and remove ~/.Xauthority (otherwise you can't login).
