KPF is a KDE 3.x application which is no longer present in KDE 4. Since
KDE 3 is unmaintained, it is unlikely this bug will be fixed. Thanks for

I think I have isolated the problem in the source. It is in
kdenetwork-3.5.6/kpf/src/Server.cpp lines 252-265:
