The alx driver for Atheros Ethernet Cards is 1) not included into the installation image 2) broken on Quantal However, a built from http://www.linuxfoundation.org/collaborate/workgroups/networking/alx https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/projects/backports/stable/v3.9-rc1/ works fine for a Atheros Communications Inc. AR8161 Gigabit Ethernet (rev 08) card. Could someone please update the package.
