This bug showed up after trying to install unity hud components my
desktop sill has the feel classic gnome and not ubuntu's unity desktop

Used to happen way back when I had 12.04/12.10 (precise/quantal) with Qt
apps and now on 13.10 it happens on java applications, notably Minecraft
when I click a dropdown menu.
