We only keep a certain number of installed kernels, across all flavours.
Older ones are autoremoved, even automatically with unattended-upgrades.

Another solution:
Just kill the sub-menu in GRUB2.
If the use could see all installed kernel-images (a growing list) he
would think about that topic and handle it byhimself.
